Ive been guilty of allowing myself to let the self-limiting mind take over my thought process, and as a recult Ive been suffering with a lack of confidence. It has been affecting my performances recently, and I feel that I haven been truyl getting thru to people when I play. I think its largely because I had built up a persona, a kind of stage Ray that plays a role. Unfortunately, recently Ive found myself saying the same things on stage expecting the same positive responses. Im sure every performer has the same tendency, but that doesn excuse it. I just think its making me lazy. As such, if youve seen me play recently, I apologise for not being straight with you. You deserve more than I have been giving.

Yes, Im a lazy correspondent, and have neglected this blog thing. Its just that the sun is shining outside, and its hard to be sat in front of a PC. Lots of things happening. I played my first gig with an Italian Choir on Saturday, a great night and the place was stuffed full. Ill put up the videos on the Youtube page when I have them. Next saturday sees the Lunga Notte steet festival in Borgomanero, Im playing on the PuntoRadio stage, then in the Irish Pub afterwards. Then, Im back in Ireland for a run of shows from June 6th. Check the MySpace site for dates. Right, Im off to the sunshine. Peace Ray

Well, well, well, here we are in the very futuristic sounding 2008. Rebirth? Renewal? Resolution? I believe that even the hardest heart makes a special wish for the new year. I hope yours comes true.

As I have been for weeks, Im sitting at home, waiting for the delivery of the new album. Im intensely frustrated by the waiting, and severely upset about having done yet another CD launch without the CD. However, today I got news that an old friend, Antoine, died last night. Well, he was only twenty five. We played guitar together while I was living in France. A really nice fella. His folks were good souls too, and Im devastated for them.

So another CD launch comes and goes without a CD to launch. Its difficult to understand the delay this time, and as usual Im trusting the universe that theres a good reason for it, but all very frustrating.

Yeah, very exiting! My first radio interview in italian on Saturday night, should be a laugh. Im very thankful for all these adventures. Ive been whinging a bit lately cause things are a bit of a drag, I dunno, maybe its the mars retrograde. I really should breathe these moments in deeply.

Oh, how I hate the build up to Xmas. The tinkly winkly jingly winglies that pour from every shop doorway, the incessant planning, unplanning, replanning, deanpan scam bam thank you santa NONSENSE of it all. Lets all cut to the chase, and give 500 quid to charity, and start eating. That way, everyones happy.
