Howdy. Heady times indeed. Im just back from France, played in a cool pub in Lyon, I look forward to getting back. Great town. Back to the day to days of Italy, and Im writing some cool new songs for a new album, hopefully for eater next year. I actually have two projects in mind, one of which would be based on the catholic mass, but thats ambitious, and would probably require more time and effort. Ill see. The other idea is to do another album as a follow up to In My Own Time. Maybe I should throw it out to public vote. YOU decide...

Howiya. Loads happening. I think I was right to concentrate my energy on la bella Italia for now. Theyve given me my own radio show on PuntoRadio, and I will endeavour to give the airtime to worthy independent artists. It kicks off on Sept 20th with the live launch of the Zodiac Sessions Italia. You can tune in to www.puntoradio.mobi Then, on Sept 21st, we kick off the Twinning with Zodiac Sessions Dublin. Jazz is coming over for the weekend, along with Anthony Furey and Caruso. Should be a cracker.

Italy is in celebration. Theres festas everywhere. I love this part of the year. Im playing a lot to beer-drinking, salamella-eating, fabulously bronzed italian people. Ive got an interesting gig on Monday night with Ivano and Teresa. Its the first time Ive tried it, its kind of theatre and music, but not musical theatre (if you see what I mean). Shubbe gud, though. Its me mammys birthday today. Happy birthday, mammy.

Howdy. LOTS of sunshine these days, but then the weekends have been producing storms of Biblical proportions. Its a pity cause, with SP McGhee, weve started a sunday song club down on Lake Maggiore. Its a very calming experience, playing beside a lake. I love lakes. Rivers always seem to be so busy. Im lucky to live around here. I should say that more often.

Yes, Im a lazy correspondent, and have neglected this blog thing. Its just that the sun is shining outside, and its hard to be sat in front of a PC. Lots of things happening. I played my first gig with an Italian Choir on Saturday, a great night and the place was stuffed full. Ill put up the videos on the Youtube page when I have them. Next saturday sees the Lunga Notte steet festival in Borgomanero, Im playing on the PuntoRadio stage, then in the Irish Pub afterwards. Then, Im back in Ireland for a run of shows from June 6th. Check the MySpace site for dates. Right, Im off to the sunshine. Peace Ray

As I have been for weeks, Im sitting at home, waiting for the delivery of the new album. Im intensely frustrated by the waiting, and severely upset about having done yet another CD launch without the CD. However, today I got news that an old friend, Antoine, died last night. Well, he was only twenty five. We played guitar together while I was living in France. A really nice fella. His folks were good souls too, and Im devastated for them.

So another CD launch comes and goes without a CD to launch. Its difficult to understand the delay this time, and as usual Im trusting the universe that theres a good reason for it, but all very frustrating.

Yeah, very exiting! My first radio interview in italian on Saturday night, should be a laugh. Im very thankful for all these adventures. Ive been whinging a bit lately cause things are a bit of a drag, I dunno, maybe its the mars retrograde. I really should breathe these moments in deeply.

Oh, how I hate the build up to Xmas. The tinkly winkly jingly winglies that pour from every shop doorway, the incessant planning, unplanning, replanning, deanpan scam bam thank you santa NONSENSE of it all. Lets all cut to the chase, and give 500 quid to charity, and start eating. That way, everyones happy.
